The 14th Annual Tom Madzy Short Run & Family Dog Walk Sunday Sept. 25th
Friday, September 02, 2011The 5K Race and 1 mile walk is Sunday September 25, 2011 at 8:30 am. The race starts and finishes at the Madzy Tower behind Berea High School, 165 East Bagley Road in Berea.
Entry Fees: $15 for Runners, $10 for Walkers, Free for Dogs
5k Awards: Awards will be presented to the top male and female runners. Awards will also be presented to the top 3 males and top 3 females in the following age groups: 20 & under, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 +
Race Details: All participants will receive a commemorative race shirt (short sleeve or long sleeve) and post-race refreshments. All race shirts are made from a high-tech fabric that wicks away perspiration. Be one of the first 100 people to register, and receive a gift bag which includes a dental care kit for your dog from SMITH HOUSE CALLS Veterinary Services!
All proceeds go to the Madzy Fund which helps to pay the “participation fee” for students athletes at Berea High School & Roehm Middle School who could not otherwise afford to pay such a fee.The Madzy Fund also provides assistance to those in need that participate in the Berea Baseball Association and Lou Groza Football.
